More About Me…
Thanks for taking the time to visit! I have 17 years of ministry experience in churches, large and small, with an emphasis in worship, music, and communication. A frequent arranger for colleges, universities, churches, and worship groups, my arrangments are sung by churches in all fifty states and all over the world through my work with Bulls’ Pen Music and fearless4you.com music. I have studied at Abilene Christian University (B.A.), the University of North Texas (Choral Conducting), the University of Texas at Arlington (M.M.), and my Ph.D. work is at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Church Music, Hymnology).
I am currently a composer, contributor, and music committee member, and a member of the Executive Committee for the Timeless Psalter & Commentary Project with ACU Press and I also was recently appointed as the Chairman of the Timeless Hymnal Project Team, the group who will produce a new Psalter Hymnal in the next few years, an incredibly worthy and important project for the Church.
I’m blessed to lead worship at events across the U.S. each year. I currently coach worship leaders and church leaders in the areas of worship leading, new music, and congregational change as well as congregational song. My research specialties include hymnody, congregational singing, and Restoration Hymnody.
I am completing my Ph. D. in Church music with an emphasis in hymnology and worship practices in Churches of Christ. In addition, I am the Founder, Artistic Director and Conductor of the MidCities Chamber Singers, a semi-professional choral ensemble in DFW. I serve on the executive committee for the Timeless Psalter Project, a 9+ year project where we are creating new musical settings for new translations of the Psalms to culminate in a new Psalter Hymnal in the next few years. I am completing my Ph.D. in church music with an emphasis in Restoration Hymnody & the Musical Practices of Churches of Christ.
